Integration

OpenGovernance integrates with major cloud providers like AWS and Azure, over 50 DevOps and SecOps platforms and tools (such as GitHub and GitLab), and identity providers like Okta and Microsoft Entra ID.

Its pluggable architecture allows you to discover, manage, and secure resources across your entire environment.

Connectors

A connector is an integration that links external platforms, tools, or services to the OpenGovernance platform. It enables discovery, which is essential for policy enforcement and automation across various environments, ensuring unified compliance and operational efficiency.

Available Connectors (Community Edition)

The OpenGovernance Community Edition includes Azure, AWS, and Entra ID connectors and can discover over 1000+ entities across them.

The Enterprise Edition offers 50+ Connectors. Click here for a full list of Connectors available in the Enterprise Edition.

AWS

Discover 500+ key resources in AWS - from VMs to Network Rule Config.

Microsoft Azure

Discover 300+ Cloud Assets, Costs, and Deployment Configuration

Microsoft EntraID (AzureAD)

Discover Users, Identities, Apps, Groups, Service Accounts and more.

Connections

Connection represents the integration point for specific cloud resources (e.g., AWS Account, Azure Subscription, Entra ID Directory), enabling compliance checks and policy enforcement across these environments.

Examples:

  1. If you onboard 20 AWS Accounts, there will be 20 connections.

  2. If you onboard 25 Azure Subscriptions, there will be 25 connections

  3. If you onboard AzureAD Directory with 10+ Users, and 12K+ Devices, it will be 1 connections

Every connection has a Connection ID, which is also called Integration Tracker.
