Overview

OpenGovernance features three core components:

  1. Discovery: Automatically gathers and catalogs resources across multiple platforms, providing in-depth information on entities such as identities, cloud assets, alarms, and deployments. It captures configurations and usage information, ensuring a continuously updated and comprehensive inventory vital for effective governance.

  2. Compliance: Define and audit policies as code across platforms, tracking compliance with security, best practices, and cost efficiency benchmarks. Ensure adherence to frameworks like SOC2 and HIPAA, and tailor security, cost, and operational checks to meet DevOps, Cost Optimization, and Well-Architected standards.

  3. Automation: Executes actions in response to specific events detected during the compliance monitoring. Actions may include running runbooks or triggering external APIs, enhancing operational efficiency and policy enforcement.

OpenGovernance’s "Integration" capability, powered by Connectors, enables seamless connectivity with various platforms and tools.

Together, these components provide a unified framework for managing and optimizing tech environments of any complexity.
